Patients with skin of color often experience unique dermatologic concerns—from pigmentation changes and keloid scarring to specific forms of acne and hair loss. These conditions can look different on melanin-rich skin, and some common treatments may cause unintended side effects like discoloration or irritation if not properly selected.
At Advanced Dermatology & Skin Cancer Associates, our team of dermatologists of color deeply understands the needs of patients with diverse skin tones. Their clinical insight and personal connection to the experiences of people of color drive their commitment to offering safe, customized solutions that protect and enhance the health of every patient’s skin.
